Summer offers something that is often difficult to find during the school year: time.
Time to slow down, explore new ideas, work on larger projects, and develop creative skills without the pressure of homework, tests, and busy schedules.
At Master Art Studio®, we offer both Summer Art Classes and Afternoon Creative Camps designed for children and teens who enjoy making art and want more than simple craft activities.
Summer Art Classes
For students who want consistent progress, our regular classes continue throughout the summer.
Classes are taught in small groups and provide individualized instruction based on each student’s age, experience, and interests. Students work in a variety of media while building observation skills, creativity, and confidence.
Whether a student is just beginning or has years of experience, lessons are adjusted to meet them at their current level.
Afternoon Creative Camps
Our afternoon camps combine creativity, exploration, and hands-on projects in a relaxed studio environment.
Students work with a variety of materials and techniques, including:
- Drawing and painting
- Sculpture and 3D projects
- Mixed media exploration
- Creative project development
Unlike many camps that focus on quick activities, our projects are designed to encourage imagination, problem solving, and creative thinking while still being enjoyable and engaging.
Each week offers a unique experience, allowing students to explore different materials and ideas throughout the summer.
Sewing & Fashion Camps
For students interested in fashion and textile arts, we also offer separate Sewing & Fashion Camps.
Participants learn basic sewing skills while creating wearable projects and developing an understanding of design, construction, and creative problem solving.
These camps are offered separately from our Studio Art Camps to allow students to fully focus on sewing and fashion-related projects.
Portfolio Preparation
Summer is one of the best times to begin preparing an art portfolio.
Students interested in applying to specialized art high schools, AP Art programs, architecture programs, animation programs, or colleges of art and design may be considered for portfolio mentorship.
The process begins with a one-hour Portfolio Consultation ($250), during which we review the student’s current work, discuss goals, evaluate readiness, and develop recommendations.
Portfolio mentorship is offered to a limited number of students following the consultation.
